About: The Crossroads Wall Cat Scratcher - Cat Tree Condo

The Crossroads is a perfect Condo for cats who love to scratch and use their claws. An X shaped cat scratcher designed to cater to all cat preferences, this medium-sized cat condo is a must-have addition to your pet’s territory.  Kitties can climb, jump and scratch their way to the top of this impressive jungle gym. The multiple routes along the scratching poles create an ideal environment for play and hours of entertainment. When it’s time to rest, your cat can climb up to the cat scratcher bed for a private cat nap, high up on the wall.

Whether you have an energetic feline companion or one who prefers naps and could use some additional exercise, The Crossroads has it all. It’s a cat tree for large cats that also work really well with kittens. Our innovative scratching pole design allows you to attach poles to the mounting planks at multiple positions from the wall, which creates fun routes around the scratching wall.

Our Angled Cat Scratcher creates an incline cat scratcher which doubles as a ramp. This angled position makes an easy path up the wall, which is perfect for larger cats or cats who are new to climbing.

The adventure begins at the entrance of the cat tree, where your cat must ascend up the Angled Cat Scratcher, which is designed to specifically keep non-cat roommates out of the clubhouse.  From there, cats can branch off in different directions, stepping onto a canvas hammock for a relaxed afternoon or continuing along the Horizontal Cat Scratcher to move further up the wall. As you can see in our video, we’ve installed this cat condo in the Catz Den Cat Cafe, where the X-shaped cat scratcher works great for feather toys or ribbon play.

Since cats love to sleep up high, we have placed a hammock at the top of this cat condo, providing a great view of the cat’s environment and a space for them to let their guard down during naps.  Additionally, we have included a second napping area that feels like a private cubby, complete with a canvas side wall and a shelf above to create a semi-enclosed cat scratcher bed.

This Condo is designed for studs spaced 16” or 24" apart.

Expanding the loop in my office with Crossroads

Arrived on time. Box was a little beat up but nothing missing. One small piece was damaged. They sent me a replacement piece after a short chat. I got it up on the wall in the room with 5 feral kittens and MomCat. They *love* climbing. So adding to the loop I've been putting up was needed. They love having another ramp to climb, enter and exit the upper route of the room. Very solid! I put it a little higher than the directions suggested. I have a step on the floor to help and can fit a tall chair under the lower hammock area. The MomCat has started snoozing in a low box but the kittens prefer to spend their nights and naps in the upper corner nests.
It can be a lot of money but they've stopped climbing the currents which is nice. For me it's very worth the expense and the little family of black kitties loves it!

Hi Brooke,
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a review of our Crossroads Wall Cat Scratcher! We are so glad to hear that it was a hit with your cats! We apologize for the damaged piece, but we are happy to hear that our customer service team was able to quickly resolve the issue for you. We appreciate your feedback and hope that your cats continue to enjoy their new climbing space!

Cat loves it

The cat lounge I adopted my newest cat from had a huge wall climbing setup from Catastrophic Creations and he loved it, so I decided to get him his own smaller one. No surprise, but he loves this one too, and spends a lot of time playing and napping on it. I opted for this one because it seems beginner/senior friendly, as I also have an older cat and may get another cat or kitten down the road. It’s super ideal as my bedroom is too small for a traditional cat tree, and I may expand on it further in the future. My only criticism is that the photo of it in the instruction manual and on this website are inverted and it could only be set up the opposite way (at least that’s what my builder said, I didn’t set it up myself), which could be a problem/confusing for some people, but that actually worked out well for me as it made the placement of the ramp more ideal.

Hi Leanne,Thank you for taking the time to not only submit a review but to share a photo! Your cat looks so cute on the Crossroads. We are excited to hear that you saw our items in the cat lounge you adopted your cat from and that he is now able to enjoy his own set up with the other cats! Our furniture is modular and can be installed to mirror the images on our listings and instructions. We appreciate the feedback and will be looking into ways to make sure that we can make that better known to our customers. Thank you for your input, please let us know if we can help with anything in the future! - Alex M

Beware of true dimensions

I just received this condo. After unboxing I realized it will not fit my space as expected. Beware the true dimesions of this condo are larger than what is shown in the instructions and specifications. Do not buy this condo if you can only fit 51". The real dimensions are 56.5" minimum if the middle shelf on the vertical pole points toward the rest of condo rather than away from it, or 66" wide if pointed away from it. Measurements matter. Please provide more accurate dimensions in the future so we can make informed decisions before we purchase.

Hi Jessa,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the Crossroads Condo. We apologize for the discrepancy in the measurements and the inconvenience it has caused you. After reviewing your feedback and double-checking the dimensions, we found that our product description and installation instructions did indeed contain an error. We’re making corrections today, and we truly appreciate you taking the time to bring this to our attention. We have contacted you via email to help work on a solution for your specific order and installation.

Stud spacing and wall construction

Most construction in the US is made up of drywall over wall studs, which are wooden or metal 2x4s that act as the frame of the wall and are what the drywall is attached to. Because these studs are very sturdy, we’ve designed the furniture to be installed into them. They’re typically spaced out at 16” from center to center, so that’s what we’ve designed the furniture to accommodate.
