I worked with metal studs with the help of an installer and the requested hardware in shipping. I emailed Elexis an embarrassing amount of times with questions and her response is very helpful. Between the unboxing/inventory, pre-assembly, install, and re-evaluation of the furniture, it was certainly a process, but one very worth the investment! I have 5 cats and all together 5 pieces from Catastrophic Creations. I live in a small apartment so I especially wanted to take advantage of vertical space. Over the past two months the furniture itself is durable and can withstand daily use with a minor setback with screws coming loose from the wall. This was fixed with zip togglers provided by an install service. I am still in the process of getting all of the studs fastened down in this fashion. I like that the store has extra replacement pieces, the diversity of the furniture offers all of my cats satisfaction from boredom. All of them used it right away. Future consideration should include 3D modular configuration software that would have allowed for the pieces to move around and applied to a "see how it looks on your wall" before purchase. I had a real hard time visualizing how to create my own design outside of the suggested templates without going over on space while also keeping it functional. All in all, a great unique find that enhaces the quality of life to our home! Thank you, Catastrophic Creations!

Finally with the addition of the Lift, my heavier-set cat can access the playground! It gave her the confidence to continue exploring all the way to the top. Hopefully she will play on it like the others and start losing weight.

I bought this several months ago as my Little Girl loves high places. It took some figuring out, as my installation was somewhat unique. I had to use a backer-board becuase of a cathedral ceailing built with trusses, but that just made installation easier -- no hunting for studs. :) She loves it. I had to make a minor modification to what is shown in the setup pic; I just added an additional landing so that it gave them a shelf between the post and the wall to the left. It's visible in the all three pic.
And, now that I've moved a higher cat tower under the upright scratching post, my 3-legged Gypsy girl is also enjoying it. Even the I-don't-really-know-how-to-climb Leo is using it!

Our kittens enjoy climbing the tree, and we enjoy having a spot to put their food where our resident old man can't steal it.

I had some issues mounting it, which were mainly user error - issues with screws stripping as another review mentioned (mostly fixed by drilling deeper pilot holes), and difficulties getting the mounts level (they seem to sag a bit at the end not attached to the wall).
Mounting difficulties aside, the fully assembled cat tree is sturdy, the cats seem to enjoy it, and we enjoy seeing them clambering around - I am already conspiring to add more wall-mounted cat furniture to other rooms.

I easily hung five of these on my wall. They are sturdy and my cats love to sit on them.

This piece is so beautiful and well crafted, it’s more of a conversation piece than a cat toy. It really catches your attention when entering the room and adds sophistication to the layout. I stripped a **** in the bracket on the end of the hammock and support promptly sent out another bracket with very easy to follow instructions on how to replace that part. Overall I’m very happy with these pieces, it was money very well spent and I plan on getting more pieces for my two furry freeloaders who’s names are Jack and Rose 😻😻

This was the easiest to put up, my 8 yr-old nephew could have done it! Incredibly designed and very well thought out product. Maren is a happy calico lady and the xtra Sisal post might be her favorite new toy. Love these lil dingers - the wall isn't done, I am gonna keep adding as time goes by. Thnx Catastrophic Creations!

This is excellent high quality furniture. Glad to finally find something that can withstand my large cat and his high energy. I can not wait to add on more!

My cats were very anxious to get climbing on this tree! My queen has already given dibs on the bed, too! It is being used every day since it was installed.

A couple of issues: 1) one of the furniture bolts broke, with most of it in the hole (not sure how to get it out or if it can be removed); and 2) the bags of hardware need better organization. I was short a furniture bolt even after using the spare and despite the loss from the one that broke.

Regardless, my cats are enjoying this tree and the broken bolt didn't affect the fact that the tree is climb-able. Would highly recommend any product from this company.

Really wonderful products!

For the climbing pole specifically I did not realize that getting the shelves would mean all the shelves, and you have to choose at purchase if you want the shelves or just connectors, customer service was great! I did end up sticking with all shelves, even tho that means some traversing of the tv! But they like the perches and it does seem to make going down easier, as I have one who is just not as agile and confident on the way down, but loves going up.

Beautiful and finished looking for a main room in my home. We’re not done, and are working up to adding a bridge and a few other components as finances allow, but very happy with everything we’ve purchased so far. We are very handy and could have built plenty of this on our own and did make the main tree and a few shelves), but with the ease of installation, and the look and design of the brackets especially, this is totally worth it. One person installed 5 shelves and the climbing pole in under two hours even with plenty of waffling over spacing and routing.

Easy to install. Was important to use the front canvas to gauge how high to install the upper two planks, it's hard to get it stretched out enough.

Cats love it!

First I would like to say that it is extremely sturdy and holds up our 18lb maine coon jumping from one shelf to another without wiggling. Second, the customer service is amazing! I’ve accidentally ordered two slotted shelves instead of one with an escape hatch and they exchanged it promptly sending it out even before they received the piece I was returning! That was really nice!
Our cat didn’t feel comfortable with the bridge for the first few days but now he loves to chill on it and it is so much fun to see him just hanging out trying to touch our heads when we pass the doorway:)

Best purchase so far! We’ve decided to get a double horizontal scratching post for our nearly 20 lb Maine coon and that was the best decision ever since he can comfortably rest on it as well!

Our cats love this wall tower already and it supports them both at the same time as well as them playing on it.

I had a few questions about the instructions and customer service got back to me quickly and even sent a video!

I already plan to buy more things to put on the walls for our cats, just need to find the wall space and which rooms to add them too.

As soon as the cubby was installed it was being explored. And it makes for the best pictures!

Our cat absolutely loves being able to roam around above our heads. We had a huge empty wall in our living room that runs up to the vaulted ceiling that we never knew what to do with. When we found these products, it only made sense to let our cat enjoy the heights like he's always wanted. We got the Juggernaut and a cat bed to allow us the freedom to do something custom, and we still haven't used all the pieces!! It took a little while for him to get comfortable with his new domain, but now spends plenty of time napping 10-15 feet off the ground! The products are very high quality and after getting the hang of putting the planks up, became super easy to really expand up and across the wall. A good stud finder definitely helps! Definitely recommend these products to anyone, especially if you can take advantage of their regular discounts and sales.

I couldn’t assemble this fast enough while my cat was on each shelf helping me construct her activity wall. She feels safe and secure because it is so well built, sturdy, and high quality. We are both totally smitten with this purchase 👍🐾

Updated Review: Catastrophic Creations reached out to diagnose the problem. I learned that the fabrics are delivered unstretched, and they offered to ship a replacement stretched canvas for me. I manually stretched the fabric out over the period of several days and got it to work without the replacement! My cat is very happy with the tree and it is very high quality, and so I've updated my review to reflect this. Just be aware that the fabric may be quite unstretched and maybe don't tighten the screws all the way until you've verified that the fabric will fit while assembling the tree.

Original Review: After doing a ton of research on higher quality cat trees that would last longer than a year or two and be accessible for a senior cat who is not a fan of jumping on wobbly surfaces, I was so excited to find and buy this one for my cat. However, the product I received was defective. It was frustrating to put it all together only to find out that one of the fabric hammocks included was an inch too short. It renders the whole bottom half of the tree unusable, since none of the velcro lines up, no matter how hard you pull on the fabric. I wouldn't have spent over $350 on such a tree if I knew that this would be the product I'd receive.

The pictures attached are of Fabric A on the bottom -- this picture was taken with one person pulling as hard as they can on the fabric, and the other person holding the tree still. As you can see, it is nowhere close to lining up. I double checked the video instructions multiple times to make sure I assembled it all correctly, and it just doesn't work. I'd love a fabric replacement for this, since I still think my cat would love it, but it's definitely disappointing to have to disassemble and reassemble the whole tree just because of this.

I received my climbing wall yesterday and installed it. The quality was excellent and installation was simple. The one difficulty that I had was trying to separate the backing from the wall protectors. The tab would just rip off. I have my fingernails short so I couldn’t get them loose that way. Tried a utility knife blade and it still didn’t work.

I also had no idea how powerful that catnip was in the bonus bag that you sent me. I left it in another room on a table while I installed the climbing wall. When I went back in there, the cats had it ripped open and scattered it all over the carpet. I ended up having to vacuum it all up so they only got to enjoy it for a few minutes.

They are already climbing on the wall, and I am very pleased with my purchase.

Our kittens are enjoying their deluxe wall fort. Very happy with the design and styling.

I’d recommend getting some better screws for mounting, we had issues with ours getting stripped and breaking. Also, the instructions could be improved upon, more measurements would be helpful!

The fort was a pretty easy install. I wish I had the instructions to build it facing on the other side. I had some problems in regards to the type of studs we have. Some of the nails went in easily but others were really difficult. Set up works great for my 16 week old kitten however it’s a little cramped for my year and a half Maine Coon. I wish the fort was a little deeper with more distance between the levels. I think I’m going to move the one floating piece probably a little higher and to the left.

We got the 18” shelf with nest for our two 9 year old active climbers. They love it! We opted not to get the plush bed because they are happy lounging without it. I love the nest addition & I’m so happy they made it. We have an 18” shelf & there were several times my cats got so into their lounging that the rolled right off & id have to catch them (it was above my office desk). My cats are bigger boys (11 & 13 pounds,) and very long. They are not as graceful as cats should be so the nest gives them the added support they need to keep them safely lounging. It is very well made, soft edges and thoughtfully shaped. Love the product & so do my cats.

We have two 9 year old rescue kitties that love to climb & do vertical scratching (i.e. the couch). We bought the 4 tier with 2 leaf shelves. I like that the mounting is on one side so you can center it, but the one sided mount is also a problem. As other reviews have mentioned, this moves when they use it. My cats do not like that so they won’t use it. (We have another that is a different brand and much more sturdy that they used all the time before we took it down.) we ended up putting an L bracket under a shelf and securing it to the wall. It makes it much more stable. The rope unravels very easily, too. For the cost, I was very disappointed in the product. We have the shelves (that we love), so expectations were high. Overall, I’d look elsewhere for something more sturdy.

Updating my previous review... It only took one day for them to fall in love with the cat condo. Best cat purchase ever.

Arrived on time. Box was a little beat up but nothing missing. One small piece was damaged. They sent me a replacement piece after a short chat. I got it up on the wall in the room with 5 feral kittens and MomCat. They *love* climbing. So adding to the loop I've been putting up was needed. They love having another ramp to climb, enter and exit the upper route of the room. Very solid! I put it a little higher than the directions suggested. I have a step on the floor to help and can fit a tall chair under the lower hammock area. The MomCat has started snoozing in a low box but the kittens prefer to spend their nights and naps in the upper corner nests.
It can be a lot of money but they've stopped climbing the currents which is nice. For me it's very worth the expense and the little family of black kitties loves it!
